Explore & Burn is a freeware application that allows you to burn files to CD / DVD directly from Windows Explorer context menu. Can burn the file to disk images (ISO, IMG) and any type of file for different types of disk (including DVD Dual Layer). Supports single session and multi-session discs with ISO-9660, Joliet and UDF file system.

If you, like me, think with something .. Um, magic … right-click the file and can quickly do the operation on it and then you can check this program out. Exploring and simply Burn CD / DVD burning program that is launched from Windows’ right-click context menu. More notes below.

1. How to use: select a file or group of files and right and click the Burn Explore context menu. This will launch a wizard-style program files combustion process.
2. Burn the image: Explore & Burn can burn. ISO and. IMG files to CD / DVD, but can also optionally associate themselves with the file extension.
3. Supported media: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD + R, DVD-RW, DVD + RW and DVD-RAM discs including dual layer discs.
4. Bugs in XP: I’m having problems with XP where the program can not burn the ISO image to disk and I get "No Disc Complete Writing Wizard" message (usually a file burned fine though ). Someone posted this problem in the forum, and even prescribed fix does not work for me, there is the promise that it will be discussed in the next version.

Wish list: (or how the program can be better)

1. Explore and Screenshot2For Burn files to disk image, the program installs two context menu entries which offer similar functionality, making it one of the real excess (see photo at right). It would be nice to be able to save only one of them.
2. Improved burning XP with disk problems mentioned above.

Opinion: for what is trying to achieve (a fast, on-the-fly burning files from the desktop), Explore & Burn worked fine (of course think that the bug eventually dealt with) . For most users, however, Explore & Burn is not a substitute for full, full-featured CD / DVD burning program (like CDBurnerXP), and not confess.

Many users will like the fast spontaneity. In addition, the program is suitable for non tech-savvy users who just want to burn files to quickly (the perfect thing to install to your grandmother for example).
